The usual fix is to use another USB cam. If you want the maker to fix this, ask them.
The frame-rate of the built-in webcam in my laptop is painfully slow.
I have an ASUS B53f laptop with a built-in webcam.
i5 processor, 6GB RAM, windows 7 professional
All drivers up to date.
If I try a logitech 9000 or other webcams everything works smoothly and beautifully even at high resolution so I know the computer can handle it.
Online/offline - extreme low-res or high res - does not matter which software I am using.
I have seen where people say to turn off the auto-light compensation, but that is never an option with any of the software I have tried (those options are grayed-out).
Any advice would be appreciated, I do not want to bring an extra webcam everywhere when I travel.
I never would have bought his computer if I had known it was going to be this way. I would be happy with 320 resolution if it just worked smoothly, but it is unusable.
Thanks for your help!
