Foxfire 0.9.3 net timeout error

Aug 25, 2004 2:07AM PDT

I have a Dell l800r with Windows Me o/s
Switched browsers from IE 6 to Foxfire 0.9.3
How do I increase the web page loading time to allow additional time for web pages to load.
The error message I am getting is "net timeout error"
With c/net moderators recommending changing to Foxfire will there be a forum forth coming for Foxfire and T-Bird.
Thanks for the help
Ray

I haven't run into a website that needed this. If only you had supplied such a site, then I could look at it.

There is another factor here. If the DNS lookup is the issue (I can't check!!!), then its not a browser issue.

Tell more, get more.

As to a Fire/Mozilla forum, there is one. Just not here.

The problem did not only occur in one webpage but several over different days.
A panel member from the Firefox forum offered this solution.
goto about:config
at network.http request.timeout change setting to 300
at network.http.connect.timeout change setting to 70
This has solved my problem

I think you may have made a mistake on the browser name, I use Firefox 0.9.3 If you look at the bar that has Firefox Support on it, click on it and ask on that site as that is what they have a support forum for.
Good Luck.
