... with the police escort back to Duluth. I hope they throw the book at her. The fact that she's 32, not some 19 yo one might be able to summon more sympathy for, seems to have escaped some of the more forgiving voices I'm hearing.
If this is truly out of character for her, she belongs in a mental health institution.
I've since heard the 911 call. She's outside a 7-11 and is calling an EMERGENCY LINE to find out where she is? Ummmm... go IN to the store???? Sheesh ![]()

is it her fault that the media jumped all over this with their special spins and speculations that grabbed the hearts of so many? So now, many who were praying for her want to hang her. Rightfully, the family and friends should be concerned and notify the authorities. A responsible media has the tools to properly assist in expanding the search efforts but, it seems to me, responsibility in the media died long ago. Maybe we all would have been better off left in the dark (Oops! place without any sunshine). Perhaps she really needs help from loving and caring people now....and time alone might not have been a bad idea. I hope she gets some peace and time to heal.![]()
We have Amber alerts and nationwide missing persons searches nowadays with the 24/7 news networks. As facts emerge, this was a planned stunt and certainly she entertained the idea of what might occur. Attractive woman from "important" family in advance of 600 guest gala wedding to man from politically connected family (locally prominent would be fair) disappears without a trace. Gee, who woulda thought there might be some interest here? Yeah right. This was a phenomenally selfish act and if anyone deserves peace and time to heal it's her poor fiance. Any speculation over her fiance is on her hands, as well as the speculation on whether or not the next disappearance is a hoax that is bound to occur. It's the same thing as those that make false rape allegations, etc. I heard a reporter say that the fiance said something to the effect of "I just know that we're going to get a call and she's OK" with somehting about them having just too good a story to tell. She also told someone upon boarding the plane that the wedding is not off, just postponed. I get the impression that her fiance is not as surprised by her actions and they are not quite so out of character as we have been led to believe. He's supposed to be on TV tonight -- if I'm him, I'm not drawing this thing out any further than it has to be and staying away from the cameras and interviewers.
I can understand the cold feet. I can understand just getting the heck outta Dodge. I cannot understand why she didn't drop a dime to SOMEONE (c'mon, not even ONE of those 14 bridesmaids???) just to say "I'm OK, I just can't handle this wedding". I just can't fathom the thought process that is so inconsiderate of everyone else. If I were her family, I would hug her then get her some serious help so she can rejoin a society where it isn't just her cooling extremities that seem to matter.

I was suspicious from the beginning. She clearly has some "issues". If I was the boyfriend I'd be running too. Though after seeing one interview with him on TV I wonder about him too.
It was one of these things that got out of hand to please the parents -- FOURTEEN bridesmaids, for Pete's sake? And while we're at it, is it really a good idead to blow hundreds of thousands, if not millions, on a lavish wedding while people are starving in the world? Why not have a far simpler, less stressful ceremony for true friends and give the balance to charity?

I think she needs professional help.
It seems crazy to me but it's none of my business how lavish their wedding is. Lavish weddings employ people and help them better themselves (many may be immigrants or people trying to work their way out of poverty).
I suppose you and K should have stayed in tents on your recent vacations and given the balance to charity.
Besides, at this point everything for their wedding was probably all bought and paid for.
I've had 2 weddings at the courthouse. $15 bucks each. How much did you spend on yours, Dave?

Feed a man a fish for breakfast and he'll be back for lunch in four hours. ![]()
... a good idea to blow thousands of dollars on trips to far off exotic lands when there are starving people in the world? Sheesh ![]()

When I posted this there was no mention of the latest news other than she was found in NM. Unbelievable.
This woman has obviously got some problems, I'd let her sort them out by herself with HER family if I we're John Mason. I'd be so hurt upon hearing this I think I would disappear myself. Absolutely amazing.
Now the criminal investigation if her should start, If she did not immediately tell the police the truth when found she should be prosecuted and restitution paid. Not a way to start a marriage. Is John still planning on marrying this woman, I'd leave her if it happened to me.
