Formatting win10

I have a 3 year old Asus desktop pc, running windows 10 and it wont let me do a factory reset. I've tried a lot of things and I keep getting......"there was a problem resetting your pc, no changes were made." Please advise me on other options, Thank you

Skip reset and head to reinstall. YES, it wipes out data.
