Is this a secondary drive in a PC with XP on it or is this a drive you want to do a clean XP installation on with multiple partitions? If it's a second drive, all your work is done through disk management in the control panel/administrative tools/computer management. You can delete and create partitions there and format as you wish. If you are doing a clean installation, your work is done by booting from the XP CD. It will find the existing partitions and let you delete them. You can then create a primary partition on which to install XP It will format this one for you. I would not recommend that you create other partitions and format at this time but wait until XP is installed and then use the disk management tool to finish the job.
I have two partitions each approximatly 120 Gb. I want to format my computer. The OS is Windows XP. Can I format it with the partition or is there a way to remove the partition? How would I proceed making more partitions?
