Formatting CD's

Can someone recommend a "Really Good" program to format a CD. I'm running a Dell 4550 w/ Win XP SP2. I currently using Roxio's Drag-to disk and it is "Bad". I install a new blank cd in, start the format and "sometimes" a messages appears that something is wrong with the media. I install another, it will format just fine, then re-install the previous media and it formats.

All of those programs are bad. Just burn a disc the "old fashioned" way. Your results will be much better over the long term.
