The last few Vista laptops I received have...

A method to make restore to factory DVDs. If only you had "include(d) all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem." Then I might have quoted some text on what to do rather than ask for more detail in the first reply.

Are the words in red not showing for you?

System recovery
by sntholiday / March 12, 2008 7:47 AM PDT

If your PC has a recovery partition it will also have a system recovery application that can be used to format the HDD and reinstall all the software your computer came with when brand new. Much of the software that comes preinstalled on such a PC is bloat and could end up causing more problems then you are having now. Why do you think a reformat is needed? Are you experiencing problems? Slow response?

Please provide more information so someone help you with the root cause of your problem. Doing a system recovery does not always solve all your problems!
