With 10GB files (not folders) this blows away FAT32 as an answer.
Try this. Go ahead and get it to work on your Apple with Apple's file system. Now read The LaCie Miracle at http://forums.cnet.com/5208-7588_102-0.html?threadID=354911&tag=forums06;forum-threads
I can use that to boot off CD and copy out the files.
I was trying to figure out how I can get files from my mac to my PC via external HD. I have tried to do a lot of research but do not quite understand it all the way. I have read you can with certain formats but its read only. What is the difference between read only and read/write? Can i still transfer files if it is read only? Or is there a format for an External HD where I can read/write on both mac and pc?
If this is not possible, is there another way anyone would suggest getting larg files from my mac to my PC? Up to 10GB folders.
