Forgotten XP PW

by computernub4556 / September 4, 2008 9:20 AM PDT

So I took out my lap top that I was using like 2-3 years ago to try to get an old essay off of it, and completely forgot my windows XP password when it gets to the login screen. I tried to boot into safe mode to change it but it won't let me. Why can't i boot into safe mode? when i try to it like lists drivers and wont go any further. And is there anyother way to bypass this pw?

How does this program work? Do I download this from that site on a computer that works, put it on a storage device, and boot from the device on the laptop I need to access?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
