Forgotten Password on U3 Flash Drive

Mar 5, 2010 6:00AM PST

Hey all,

My dad has a Sandisk Cruzer USB flash drive with the U3 software launcher. He had enabled the password protection in the software a while back, but apparently he forgot it... so of course, he made multiple guesses/attempts and now he is locked out of the drive altogether. I don't believe he had set up a password hint either.

Is there a way for him to somehow still gain access to his files? It doesn't sound too promising based on the information listed on Sandisk's website:

http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/99
http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answ...ted/1

I don't know how important the files on his flash drive are, but are there any paid services that will recover his files? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I did the same thing only, I remembered my password . The sanDisk continued to kick me out, till I used up all my wishes , , ,witch none were granted ! Did you guys ever get your pics and other data from the memory stick? ? I found some clips of guys physically braking into their cruzer 8gb sticks, but I don't want to do that because I afraid of loosing my stuff ! Man, I'm just sick over this ,, just cant believe it !
