With a CD Key why the need for Steam here?
Also, if the sale was through Steam, then you deal with Steam.
Good luck,

Hello,
Recently I built a new pc but I've been having problems getting a game called Dark Souls that I have purchased legitimately through Steam, to work online due to an account issue with Games For Windows Live. The problem is I cannot access the email account associated with my Dark Souls game, thus I am unable to play online. The email i used was old and has since been deactivated. I have contacted GFWL customer support by phone about this, but they told me they cannot do a thing for me and they advised me to re-purchase the game entirely. This advice is very poor and I feel that there should be something they can due on their end to get my account back. I have a legitimate CD key (proof of purchase) yet they refuse to aid me in restoring my account with a working email address. Please, is there anything I can do, or am I stuck re buying something I already rightfully own?
