lense which is said to complete their 'L' lens line for f4 lenses. It's a nice range; 24-105mm, and has image stabilization.

Professional Photographers. Difference.

Kiddpeat, what is going on with the Zeise line of lenses?
I saw a post from Joe a while back that had a small digital camera with a Zeise lens.) Good reports as I remember from Joe.
Years ago, it cost an arm and a leg to get your hands on a good Zeise camera lens. Still the same today?

are another company who failed to see the digital Tsunami coming. I don't see Zeise mentioned very much in the stuff I read. They may still exist in the higher ranks of photographers that I certainly have not reached.

Contax cameras are a product of Zeiss and of course uses Zeiss lenses.

But I don't believe they have produced a DSLR.

It'll be very good for new Canon 5D where film-size censor

is shooting. But, for the older canon DSLR, with mostly 1.6 multiplier, the lense will appear as a normal range lense ( 38 - 168 mm focal lenght ). Any way, it's an ideal lense for those camera shooting portrait consider that lighting is enough. I've been using Canon 17-40 F4L, 24-70F2.8L, and 70-200F2.8L for both EOS 20D and EOS 5QD ( film ), really loved the F-4 apperture; nevertheless, quite disappointed when shooting at the dimmer light. Consider the dimmer light, the F2.8L lenses are still more preferable. Yet, it will be about more additional $ 500 to spend for and lighter weight with IS. It'll hard to pick, depends upon type of shooting. Not any single lense can serve every purpose. Definitely, another good Canon lense will soon hit the market.
