Wireless rabbit ears

My question is, why two antena?

is it one for Receiving and the other for Transmiting? Or both have the same Rx and Tx function?

If both have the same function, then in order to create that directional antenna, can I position the wire mesh in opposite diection (or different angle)?

Thank You

I see what you are thinking, but no, that won't work...

Since one is Tx and the other Rx, they point in the same general direction.
