For Those Still Using Java: Update Released

New Update Released April 18, 2017

Although Oracle's Java is not needed by most users and isn't generally recommend because of frequent vulnerabilities, for those that find it necessary to use Java, it's important to keep the most current version installed. The latest is: Java SE 8u131

Security updates and bug fixes are included in the newest version and it can be downloaded from the link below. For standard Java users who only need the run-time files installed on their computer, I recommend clicking on the link below, then the JRE "Download" button. At the download page, place a dot/tick in the box to accept the license agreement, then download the "OFFLINE" version of the installer file to your desktop. (If you're using a 32 bit computer, you only need to download the 32 bit installer. If you're using a 64 bit computer, download BOTH the x32 and x64 installers. Once the installer files are on your desktop, uninstall the previous version of Java from your computer, then install the newest updated version. :
