For the past day or 2 mail sent from .Mac Mail is not being

Sep 5, 2006 5:00AM PDT

I have been using .Mac Mail and Apple Mail application on my computer for about 10 months. The past 2 days when I go to .Mac Mail online, compose an e-mail, click on send, get the message that says, "Your message has been sent." The e-mail is also in my Sent folder but the e-mail message is not delivered. I sent an e-mail this way to my Hotmail account, my Yahoo account and even to myself at my .Mac Mail account and none of them were delivered. I tried several times at different times and I just tried again now. Still no good. They never went to any of the inboxes even hours later. Is there something wrong with the outgoing .Mac Mail sever? Or what else can it be?

My .Mac account has been functioning correctly for a lot longer than 10 months.
The .Mac page shows some minor problems with email lately

In response to CharlieD

'CharlieD,' Several of the 'tech' blogs are reporting a current issue with .Mac. They are reporting that Apple is aware of the situation and that the issue will be resolved shortly.

And so it was...all day yesterday the problem persisted and when I tried it today, the problem was resolved. Messages sent from my .Mac Mail account were being delivered to other people and to myself when I tested it out. What did happen though was all the messages I sent before I knew the problem existed were never delivered. They must have been lost off Apple's server and on the .Mac page, they only say that .Mac Mail was unavailable to some members for 4.5 hours on the 4th. They do not mention the problem that I and others seemed to have.

It obviously did not affect all .Mac users.

Guess I was lucky

Glad your back now
