He is out for the week.

The Samsung tech you are asking for (Samsung_HD_Tech) is out for the week, so to get an answer from him, you will have to wait until next week. Looking around on the Greece Samsung site, it looks like your TV has Wiselink Pro. But, I can't read greek, so, I might be wrong.

Make sure to post the details about what is happening (or not happening). Post what type of file you are trying to play.

Make sure the USB stick you are using is formatted with FAT16 or FAT32. NTFS file system is not supported. Also, I do not believe external hard drives are supported, so, make sure you are using a USB "flash" memory stick.

This link: http://www.samsung.com/gr/consumer/learningresources/tv/mediasolution/wiselinkpro_usersguide.html
should give you the supported file formats for Wiselink Pro on the Greek website.

Hope this helps.

pitmangr,

Thanks for your patience.

I did take the time to download the manual, and on page 37, it does list the movie files that will work with WiseLink Pro. The Video Codec, Type Resolution, Frame Rate and Audio Codec must all match for the video to work.

You might want to check your file types to see if they are compatible (all fields) to play on the television.

I'm still in meetings, so I'll hopefully be catching up this week. But I'm trying to get a few posts in so people don't have to wait until Monday. Again, thanks for your patience.

Keep me posted.

pitmangr,

I apologize, I was looking at the LE46A756 manual instead of the LE40A786. The 756 model does have the WiseLink (mp3 and pictures), whereas the LE46A786 does not (as per page 4Cool.

I can't speak for why it is that way, but that is how it is listed in the manual. I would definitely talk with the salesperson who sold you the television to clarify. I simply don't know every television in every region, and I believe they would have a better answer than I.
