I wonder what proceedure one has to go thru to be a moderator and what qualifications you need to have.

Thank you.

A registered user assigned by an administrator of a particular community and given the authority to edit posts and move, delete and close topics in a forum."

Except I can't edit posts. Also, our moderators have no mandate to answer your questions.

If you pitch in and help, don't create too many flames then after a year or two you may get noticed and asked.

A person can click on to the list of "Formum moderators" (see right column under Forum information).
At the bottom of that page is a statement:

"If you have any questions or if you are interested in becoming a volunteer moderator, please write to Lee Koo."

lee.koo@cnet.com

messageboards@cnet.com

A fast and easy way is to click on Lee Koo's name then click on "Email This Member"

For one of the "Help" forums, I would think you would list your qualifications with Lee.

For being a Moderator in the SpeakEasy Forum, IMO someone would have to pass the OK of all the current 7 Moderators there.
