for iRiver ifp-799 owners

I own an iriver ifp-799 flash player but am finding it annoying that i cannot use it as as a removable storage device or upload media files from the player onto my P.C. has anyone found any upgrades,downloads or methods to do this ?

Just flash it to the UMS firmware from the iRiver site.

I dont know about the specific player, but with my nomad a while back I would just go to my computer and copy the file and paste it in the player. Just some advice.

Some iRivers require drivers

Some iRiver players require drivers to do this. My iRiver H10 isn't one of them, but I've read some CNET reviews about iRiver flash players that cannot act as a USB storage device without the driver installed.
