I appreciate the support, but really, just let things go.

You'd have better luck trying to reason with a brick wall, which has one very key advantage over talking with the huggy feely types here: A plausible insanity defense. The net result will be the same... For all the good it will do you, you may as well be talking to a brick wall than explain how all this huggy feely share your feelings crap is creating a society where no one can take a little constructive criticism. Seriously, look at what their generation has blessed us with in terms of euphamisms. People aren't fired anymore, they're "let go". People are cripples anymore, or even handicapped, now they're "differently abled". And maybe one of the worst of all, is kids aren't stupid or even slow any longer, they're "minimally exceptional". The list is long enough it could fill a good sized book.

So, the thing you should take away from this, is trying to reason with these people is like trying to reason with a brick wall, only without the insanity defense that comes with the brick wall, making it just a giant waste of time.

That's pretty much my final say on the matter, until I say something that gets people's panties all in a bunch again. Respond if you like, I'm done with this particular matter until I offend the delicate sensibilities of someone else.

And just a passing thought for the stazi's out there... You COULD have just let this be contained to a single thread... Instead you got trigger happy, and it's turned into 3-4 threads cluttering things up. So maybe... Just maybe... It's better to let merely offensive posts slide, because just look at what can become of things. And further, is it possible... Just possible... That maybe the wiser course of action is to let the whole thing run its course, and THEN come along and delete the useless crap? Let everyone get it out of their system first, instead of just fanning the flames and threatening people later? And honestly, how friendly can a place be when you have to threaten them to try and keep them in line? Oh the references I could make to various secret police organizations from various oppressive regimes the world over... Another time perhaps.

Final bit of advice... I wouldn't delete or even lock this thread, I'd just leave it be. Anyone who wants to piss and moan about my behaviour can do so in this thread. You can insult me, my family, my lineage, whatever makes you feel better about yourself. So long as it's contained to this thread, people can vent about whatever I do that bugs them. We've seen what happens when things are done your way... A person in a position of authority ends up threatening a newcommer to this forum, and that's just not very friendly. It doesn't instill a warm fuzzy feeling that makes a person want to stick around for milk and cookies. I mean, that is kind of the point after all, isn't it? To create this sort of Leave it to Beaver fantasy world? Try as I might, I can't see how threatening newbies fits into that plan.
