For $2200 is it worth waiting for the Samsung 9000 series?

I wanted to buy the 8000 series but it doesn't come in 52". I then decided if Samsung is this close to the 9000 series I may just wait. I am seeking crystal ball ... anything I buy now will be obsolete by the holidays.
