Football Fans for Truth

New organization pokes fun at Kerry?s football fumbles ? like ?Lambert Field?

...Two Washington-based lawyers supporting President Bush?s re-election have registered an advocacy group, Football Fans for Truth, as a Section 527 organization allowed to accept unlimited political donations. They plan to publicize Kerry?s recent sports misstatements such as his reference to the home of the Green Bay Packers as ?Lambert Field? instead of Lambeau Field....

...?Our goal is to basically find ways to get out the political humor about John Kerry?s unsuitability to be sportsman-in-chief,? Larroca said....

I could start the Baseball gaffe branch. I really could give a democRAT'S a$$ if either of the candidates are sports fans (or wine conniseurs, or into the arts or whatever), but just don't be a phony. You're far more likely to lose points making a donkey of yourself than you are to gain any with real fans. I mean did Kerry really believe that the crowd at his midnight meltdown in Ohio would care that the Red Sox had pulled within 2-1/2 games of the Yankees (they hadn't, but that's another issue)?

Devil And I still say Kerry throws like a girl Devil

Other gaffes they hope to bring wider attention to include Kerry?s talk of the Buckeyes ? the nickname of Ohio State University?s team ? while campaigning in University of Michigan Wolverine territory.

Them's fightin' words, Evie. I remember when that happened wondering if they had to give Sen. Kerry an armed escort to the airport... Wink

As for the guy quoted in the article who said that Lambeau is an "unusual" name; not in Wisconsin it isn't - and certainly not in Massachusetts!

But then again, we are talking about Green Bay here, so one never knows... :-0

I can't vote for anybody who doesn't know Lambeau Field! That's sacred ground. What a ****!

I'd be madder about the Wolverine/Buckeye thing too, if I still lived in Michigan. OHHOWIHATEOHIOSTATE

I'm hoping your underwear spontaneously combusts under that flame-resistant suit, Paul! Wink

I'm reminded of a biology lab I had in college...we were dissecting frogs, and an animal rights group on campus protested by sitting/laying in the halls leading to the lab rooms.
Being the nice freshman I was, I tried to step between people so as to not hurt them. If I had to do it again, I would do the opposite and try to give these people a religious experience.
So, those liberals we'd be stepping over as we stalked the prey would be protesters.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
