Fonts and PDF?

Aug 27, 2007 4:52PM PDT

I have to submit a resume as part of a college application, and I have to do so as a PDF file online. I work primarily with a Mac, but I my resume uses Cambria and Calibri, both part of Office 2007.

If I export this document as a PDF in Pages, will it be compatible with computers that do not have these fonts installed?

Thanks.

As already stated, because

the PDF format allows the end user to view a document as it was originally created, regardless of whether they have all the fonts installed on their machine.

You don't have to export the file from Pages as a PDF, although there is nothing wrong with that method. You could produce the pdf by choosing the PDF option on your print dialog box.

You can create a pdf of anything that you can print. It's an OS X thing that does not rely on the application that created the document.
