Fonts

Certain Programs' fonts in KDE, on the menus for example, are so small that I can't read them. Because of this I can't use the programs much less even find out what they are. Only some programs are like this and their font sizes are inconsistent with the Kde system settings. One of these programs is Gnome Meeting. Because of it's name I opened up the Gnome Control Panel and when I clicked on the Gnome Fonts applet It popped up with larger fonts. After closing that I found that the applications that had the small fonts now had larger ones, but some of the fonts on other apps were now too large. There seems to be no way to balance them and the only way I cant get the small ones bigger is to open the Gnome control Center/fonts

The problem causes similar screwy things to happen in gnome but opening and closing the applet doesnt change anything in there. Apparently those settings are already in effect in there.

Can you help me get consistent fonts sizes according to their settings in the control panels, and where these settings are consistent across both Gnome and Kde?

Weirdness...Open and close the Gnome control panel then open Konqueror file browser...everything is fine. Open Konqueror web browser...everything is fine. Open file browser first and then open web browser without closing file browser WHAM, way big fonts on the menu. Close them both and open either one and you have big fonts on menu. This does not affect the programs menu on the panel. If you reduce the menu font sizes to where they are acceptable in apps, then it does reduce the programs menu as well to the point of being far too small. It stays that way as long as you are in Kde. Open the Kde Control Center at any time after the Gnome Contol Center and and you will get huge fonts. All over it. Do ANY of these things you kick them ALL in and they stay that way till you at least log out.

GTK fonts in KDE

I am having a similar issue. I recently increased my screen resolution and had tiny menu fonts. I used the KDE control center to increase the size of the fonts. But that did not fix my Mozilla menu font size.

I then ran "gnome-control-center" and increased the font size there. That gave me the Mozilla menu font size I wanted. But each time I log out and log in, the Mozilla menu font size goes back to the smaller size.

If I then run "gnome-control-center" and open the "Font" control panel, the Mozilla fonts immediately adjust back to the larger font size.

So, I need some way to automatically do at login whatever is being done when I click on the Gnome "Font" control panel.
