How do I get the thumbnails of folders in My Pictures to show the titles of the folders permanently when the My Pictures opens, not just when I hover the mouse over each one?

InverleithMar, If you have the view set to show Thumbnails do the following:
Open the folder to see the thumbnails.
Hold the Shift key down and click on the View button and select Details.
Remove your finger from the Shift key. You now see file/folder names.
Hold the Shift key down and click on the View button and select Thumbnails.
You will now see thumbnails with file/folder names under them.
