Feb 15, 2009 7:23PM PST

ia using windows XP professioal sp 2.
i have a folder of size 2 gb(let suppose folder A) which i have accidentally shifted to some system(size 30 mb) folder (let suppose folder b) on my hard drive after which i am not able to access to folder A, which is shown in Folder B but i am not able to access it.. if i view the properties of folder A in folder B it shows 0 bytes .. whereas the folder A was 2 gb in size and properties of folder b shows 30 mb size , iam wondering where my data has gone and iam not able to open , copy or delete folder A ..
so please advice how can i get access to my folder ? what if i use window restore ...

Something wrong indeed.

First do a chkdsk to see if there's any error in the filesystem.

For the 'not able to access' problem it's relevant if you enabled or disabled simple file sharing in your XP professional.
Maybe http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304040 points to a solution.
