Folder Mayhem!!!

I have windows xp and now everytime I click ANY folder, it does not open. instead the MS search for files program pops up. The one we use to find files on the HDD. This happened all of a sudden.
The folder will not open and the search thing shows up.
HELP!!!!!

have you scanned for a virus and checked for spyware? it sounds to me like you have a virus. if you don't, then your file associations are screwed up and that is complicated to fix. the least complicated one of these fixes is to run the Windows XP System Restore to get you back to a prior registry backup before this started happening. you have to know exactly when this started happening.
