Question

Folder Disappeared After Suspected Malware Intrusion

Oct 22, 2013 1:34AM PDT

I must have accidentally downloaded a malware program (searchqu) and noticed that one of my folders in the left column had disappeared. Finally excorcized the malware but still cannot locate the folder. I assume the missing folder was due to the malware. Any ideas or suggestions to recover would be appreciated.
Thanks

After you extinguish the malware, why not copy the folders from your last backup?

folder Disappeared After Suspected Malware IntrusionJust one, Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, no back-ups were done. (I know, big mistake) I downloaded a program from Piriform called "Recuva" and am hoping I can get some or all of the files restored.
