FM antenna amplifier or

I cannot get more than 4 stations on my brand new receiver. My am not able to receive much reception on the side of steep hill in a remote area. No land phone available. No cable. DISH provides TV and internet but is not reliable in poor weather or too much solar activity. Any thoughts on types or brands to consider?

And the drop out during a snowstorm lasted a few minutes. The weather issue with Dish gets played up or kicked around but is so well done that I wonder why folk bring it up at all. If that is a problem then dump Dish and get anything else.

If Dish can't do it, then...

I am afraid you are just in the wrong place, sorry. If you own the hillside then maybe put an antenna on top of the hill. As for AM, maybe be making a long wire antenna and see if that would work better or not. Good luck.
