Floppy Driver problem

May 4, 2006 6:05PM PDT

I have two Hard Disks of 80Gb with two windows XP Pro on a dual boot. My main 'C' disk will not recognise my floppy drive. Clicking on properties in Device Manager I get error code 39, 'Windows cannot continue, the drive may be corrupt'. I have done checkdisk and sfc /scannow to no avail. Any ideas, is it possible to try a registry fix. I cannot say when the drivers ceased to work, as I rarely use the floppy drive. The floppy works ok on the other installation. Thanks in advance,
phantazy
