Floppy disk problem

by SueWizz / September 15, 2004 11:35 AM PDT

I have a floppy disk that was working but now I get the message to format it. I need to access a saved file on this disk. Is there any way to recover the file?

a search on recover dead floppy yielded this:

http://invircible.com/resq.php

also, in absolute desperation, I wonder if the freezer method would apply here? (hard drives can sometimes be rescued by putting them in the freezer for 30 minutes) couldn't hurt if all else fails. --fj
