I'm thinking GreaseMonkey or TamperMonkey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greasemonkey ) but you would have to craft the changes. There's also -->> NOSCRIPT <<-- which should stop it along with a lot of other items on pages.

I have noticed the proliferation of "floating" content on web pages in the last few years, and am searching for a dedicated program that will defeat these nuisances.
By "floating", I mean anything but the browser that I still see when I scroll; widgets, sprites, drop-down toolbars.
I have Ad Block Plus, but it does not seem to be effective on this type of adware/spyware.
Is there anything that will automatically defeat them?
