Flip4Mac plug-in

Aug 31, 2008 6:44AM PDT

My local news weather webpage has been updated, now I can't view the "Live Radar." It says I need to install Flip4Mac, which I did, still doesn't work. Same problem in Safari and Firefox. When I view Firefox's and Safari's installed plug-in's, it says Flip4Mac is there. I tried clearing the cache & cookies. Hoping someone can help. The link is:

http://www.koat.com/weather/grid.html

Click on "Live radar"

Macmini, 1.42ghz, tiger 10.4.11, safari Version 3.1.2, firefox 3.0.1

It is not you

I too have Flip4Mac and no, it does not seem to work for me either. That is of course if I am missing some kind continue button somewhere. Obviously this is a flaw with the website and not your Mac, so no need to fret. I'd call them up if I were you and let their site managers know. Good luck.

I concur!

Even installing the PRO version of the software which is available at the page they link to, it does not work.

Go pound their ears on this one. At least they kinda support Mac, albeit not very well

no reply as yet but I will post it here, if it ever arrives

More than one email from more than one person "may" indicate to them that they have a problem.

Lots of Mac unfriendly websites
Sep 8, 2008 6:10AM PDT

I have found many websites that will not operate when using a Mac. I needed to download the application for a Passport and everything worked just fine until I clicked the button to open the application form. It said "Loading" for 15 minutes and never opened. At work on my PC, it opened immediately. There are webpage programmers that just refuse to accept the fact that Macs live in this world too. Funny, when I encounter a webpage creator who uses a Mac, they seem to make it with both Macs and PCs in mind.

Unfortunately,

a lot of webpage programmers, if they can really be called that, rely on MS products to produce that page and have no idea of what they just did.

As a matter of interest, I have not had a reply from the Radio Station and I doubt the OP has either
