Flickr and Myspace ARE Marketing tools.

Regarding the use of Flickr as a marketing tool by companies (as mentioned on today's podcast)...

It's common for any site like that today. I just got an e-mail from a friend for a movie called Beerfest that is using MySpace as a marketing vehicle for their movie. This was the link:

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=37161300

I can't imagine companies like MySpace would want to do anything to stop something like this. I should think it would make them larger and even more legit as an online company. We keep saying advertisers have to get more creative in delivering their message. If this movie is geared towards young adults, go where the young adults are hanging out these days... online in MySpace.
