But does not tell us where. And opening the laptop voids the warranty. Even if you don't like Dell's support this is a hardware repair issue under warranty so my advice is to backup what you can't lose as many warranty repairs wipe the drive and install the factory image along with the repair. Then call Dell to arrange for repair. If you tell them you are slapping the laptop, they may void the warranty so don't.
I have a 2 year old Dell Inspiron i3 5558 that came with Windows 10 already installed. There is integrated video. A few weeks ago, the screen would turn white/gray flickering and that is all I can see. If i gently slap the laptop, it stops and returns to a regular screen. It is intermittent, but is getting worse. I have a year left on the hardware warranty from Dell, but I dislike talking to their support people. They are abrupt, rude and not helpful. I had a key come off and they blamed me and I have to talk to 6 people before I got them to fix the keyboard. Because of the intermittent flickering, I dread calling them but I want it fixed before the warranty ends. I will never buy another Dell. Any suggestions as to what is causing the flickering? Btw, I did a hardward scan on the Dell assist software and the video was fine. Please help.
