Question

flickering 55" samsung lcd tv, model number: LA55B650T1F

by MNixon82 / December 3, 2013 12:29 AM PST

Hello all.
Please help.

My television has started flickering when I first turn it on for about 2weeks now. It usually goes away in about 10min but seems to be taking a lot longer lately.
Today I turned it on twice and there was no picture to begin with just sound, after about 5-10min the flickering picture came on screen and carried on for about 30min then went away.
When the flickering goes away it does not come back as long as the TV is left on.
There is no flickering when I am in the select movie/picture/audio screen after selecting a USB source.

I am aware of other Samsung TVs having similar problems with flickering although it seems that they just start flickering at random times which mine does not.

I cannot find any information in regards to this problem with this particular model.

Any information about possible problem diagnosis and how to repair it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hi MNixon82,

Thanks for your message! But just so you know, I support US products and customers. And from what I can tell, this model is for Australia. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) So if you want the most accurate information, here's the Samsung Australia portal for support on that product: http://www.samsung.com/au/support/model/LA55B650T1FXXY

Most likely this will be the type of issue that will require service.

Hope this helps you!

Regards,
HD Tech
