Flatbed scanner for fast document scanning?

Hi,

I'm a student looking to digitize my library and stop wasting money on photocopies. I'd rarely be scanning from anything but bound books, though, so document feeders won't really do any good -- I just need a really fast flatbed scan. Any suggestions? Reviews of photo scanners just talk about image resolution, which is not as important to me, and document scanners just talk about the document feeder which is also not that relevant. Scanner specs tend to just list the "preview speed" so I'm having a hard time finding the features I need. Thanks in advance for any help!
