by helaninja / March 5, 2009 12:26 PM PST

I could use some help if its ok,im trying to watch youtube videos but when i play them theres this little dot in the middle of the screen that goes in a clockwise circle and when that happens the video pauses,where would i find something through either microsft or whatever that would play youtube videos with no interuptions as in that annoying little dot/pause thing???...

And,in fact it seems that the msn news videos do the same thing but without the little dots going in a clockwise circle,still get the pauses but no dots lol...i thought and couldve sworn that i dl"ed flashplayer 9 and 10 but i see it nowhere on my using windows xp and my pc is a gateway,i think 2005 gateway...

Streaming video

That little dot, (spinning dotted circle?), means that the video file is being "streamed" to your computer down the internet connection.

The reasons could either be;

1] You have a slow internet connection, or your bandwidth is being used by something else, or

2] The server where the video file is stored is busy, and can only stream the video in small chunks.

Not much you can do about #2. But you can look into your internet connection of course.

Hmm.. Try looking into your browser's plugins and see if what flash player program you are using. Or you could just right click on a youtube video and click the link on their flash player's website.
