if you are running OS X Lion or OS X Snow Leopard, then Apple has released three JAVA updates that combat this problem of Flashback.
However, if you are using an older version of the OS, their advice is to disable JAVA in Safari.
Details on how to do that can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5241
Does Kaspersky even see things like this
P
I have heard of the arrival of Mac Trojan (Flashfake?) which can attack OSx.
Kaspersky tells me I'm clean now but advises that I upgrade my Java (now J2SE 5.0 32 bit) - but Apple Software Upgrade doesn't offer any Java upgrade.
I (and possibly others) would appreciate how best to get round this.
