Flash player not working?

by The ancient one / April 13, 2008 11:56 PM PDT

On two different websites, one a major player, I get the following message: "You need to download the latest version of Flash player to use this player." I have downloaded and installed the latest version but this message keeps coming up. The computer is a relatively new E-Machine by Gateway and the OS is Windows XP Home (installed a new hard drive with XP because I didn't like Vista). Total physical memory is 1,024.00 MB. Any suggestions?

Web Browser?
by megamannt92 / April 14, 2008 12:42 AM PDT

What web browser are you using? What are you trying load with flash..Youtube?

If you are using IE try using FireFox to see if that works.

You might want to try going back to the Adobe web site and installing it again.

Thanks for the heads up on uninstalling and re-installing

That seemed to do the trick. Priviously, I had uninstalled flashplayer by going through the Control Panel.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
