cacaddenhead42, Which version of Windows are you using? Also open Internet Explorer and click on Help on the Menu bar at the top then click on About Internet Explorer and it will show which version of Internet Explorer you're using. Post back with the version of Windows and Internet Explorer you're using.

cacaddenhead42, Go into your C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files folder and see if there's a damaged file there. If you'd right click it and choose Properties you can see if it's an Adobe file under the General tab>Code Base. If it is close it then right click it and choose Remove. Post back with the result.

cacaddenhead42, Just right click on that file and choose Remove. You don't have to open it now that we know it's associated with Adobe. The try installing the Flash Player 10 again. Post back with the result.

cacaddenhead42, Do the following:

Download the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller Windows: uninstall_flash_player.exe (205 KB) (updated 12/08/09), close all open programs then run it and restart your computer. Here's the link.

Reinstall the Flash player at the link below. Make sure you uncheck the Google Toolbar prior to doing ihe install if you don't want it.

May I just add.

Sorry to intrude Tuf.

When I used that uninstall tool to uninstall Flash Player, I rebooted, (restarted), the computer before going back to the Adobe web site to download and install Flash again.

Not sure if it helps, but to my mind it updates the Windows registry and sometimes that is necessary.

cacaddenhead42, It's very possible that it is now installed. Go to the link below and it will show you if it's installed and which version. Let the page load as it may take a little time.
