Flash drives not recognized

Apr 18, 2008 2:37AM PDT

When I put my flash drive in I he the connection and it says its available but there is noit icon. I use several different drives on a couple of computers and get the same thing. Is there something I need to refresh due to having several drives and it might be conflicting drive letters?

Thanks in advance for any assistance given

Notice that in Explorer we can hide drive letters.

Also you can unhide them with TWEAKUI. (see google.)

Flash Drives not recognized

Hi,

The flash drive might not be recognized by the system due to outdated device drivers. So uninstall the device drivers and reinstall latest version of it might help you to fix the error. You can also try uninstalling the USB Root Hub devices in the Device Manager. When you reboot Windows, they will automatically be reinstalled. Sometimes doing this can fix the error.
