An interesting thing happened to my flash drive and I would love to know if anyone has an idea on how to correct my problem. I inserted my flash drive as I had done before into my HP Photosmart Premium combination printer, scanner and fax. I attempted to scan a document to the flash drive however when I pulled the flash drive out and inserted it into my computer it no longer had any of my files on it and now reads with a different drive letter and per the properties function has no used space and no free space. Basically it is just a dead item that as a side not cannot be formatted either. I would love to find a way to retrieve my lost files and appreciate any help or suggestions any of you may have. The flash drive is a 512 MB SKYMEDI USB drive so it has no value other than the files that ideally are somewhere to be found.
