flash christmas card via hotbar.com

Dec 17, 2003 6:07AM PST

We got an e-mail with a link to a flash christmas card: http://hotbar.com/Scripts/Utils/flashCardViewer_new.asp?url=120103/120103_4763.swf&W=400&H=500&BG=120103/120103_4763_bg.jpg

I've got hotbar.com blocked in hosts, so we couldn't read it. It doesn't look too dangerous on the first sight, but still I'm hesitant to edit my hosts-file for this one and let them in (I'm a distrustful guy, I think). It could be a harmless flash, indeed, with the mail only serving as a vehicle to induce me to press on the "update your e-mail now" button lower in the mail.

Would you think it safe to open the card?
Or would I have to go to the rescue of the person who sent it to me, armed with adaware and spybot?

Kees

Hi Kees,

is a nice card with an angel singing "Joy to the World"

Yep, is a flash card - nothing "dangerous" about it.
