flakey app

running a .net app is very flaky and is maxing out the processor and making the screen/app to flicker, and i have 1gig 2.4ghz processor.
and yes i have every .net patch update...
maybe its the software/.net is always like this?

Rearrange some code I wrote to reduce flicker. Have you tried this?

If you are running a machine that is both the server and client running the browser, have you checked how much memory is being used? If there is a large page this can cause memory usage to spike and leave things a bit sluggish on the machine since it is acting as two in a sense.

Additionally, which .Net version is the app: 1.0, 1.1, 2.0 or 3.0? There are 4 versions to my knowledge and then there the questions of whether the app is doing a bunch of postbacks that can cause flickers.

something is maxin out tha process and becoming really flaky.
i said i had all the .net(1.0,1.1,2,the compact ones,3)
maybe i need to unistall the old ones and just use 3?

I'd likely look at the memory to see if there is something using a lot of it or running into memory leaks.

testing the RAM was successful. I'm starting to think its the VGA card is fluffing toasted/broke. Ima try RMA on the card see if i get new one...
