I had an issue with a 46inch Samsung set (LN46C610N1FXZA)that involved a stroboscopic flickering on the screen. Samsung was good enough to grant me a 6 month extension on my warranty, which had just expired. The set was fixed, and all was fine. However, about a week after the repair, the set will start to make a static sound from the back. There is no program sound going thru the TV speakers, they are turned off and the program is being played thru the home theater receiver. This happens after the set has been on for about 5-8 mins and lasts from 3-5 minutes and then it goes away.
I contacted the Samsung chat department, they told me that there really wasn't anything they could do since the sound was not there all the time. This sound did not occur until AFTER the service call. My wife heard it today and pronounced this "unacceptable". I have to agree, the original problem was solved, but now we have another issue with the set. I am including the three problem ticket numbers from my 3 interactions with this forum from first to last. I would like to get my TV back to a normal state. I love the picture and am a happy spokesman for Samsung products(this is my 5th samsung monitor/TV).
