Fixing keyboard on Laptop

Mar 31, 2005 10:08AM PST

Ok guys, a picture frame above me fell onto the laptop because of my knee bumped the desk. It broke the number 3. I have a 2nd laptop, exact same copy thats out of use. I popped that 3 out and tried to use it in my workable lappy. But, one of the clips is broken on the laptop itself, so it the button and its hooks won't clip on. Is there a way to fix this without sending it to Compaq? Or should I stick with a mini usb keyboard?

It's a Compaq Evo N1000v.
