Question

Fixing full screen in ITunes

Mar 19, 2012 10:02AM PDT

Hi
When I launch a movie from my library it stars as a small window. When I click on the full screen slanted arrows icon inside the viewing window it shuts down Itunes.... and generates a report to be sent.
When I enter full screen from "View">"enter full screen" no problem.
The control inside the movie window is the culprit. I am running a 27" IMac 2.66 GHz I5 core with 16GB 1087MHz DDR3. It has ATI Radeon HD 4850 Chipset built in with 512 MB of rams.
2TB internal, 3TB external
I am running OS 10.6.8 and have had 2 unsuccessful tries at Lion. (both time rolled back to .6.8
I have checked the permissions and repaired them but without success.
I have downloaded the latest version of ITunes and installed it on top of the old one
Ps; After the re-install of OS 10.6.8 all the updates we're done automatically
This is a new problem since the re-install of 10.6.8 from the original discs that came with the computer.
Has anybody ever encountered this glitch and if yes was it resolved??
Help anyone

try downloading a new version of QuickTime or, if you have the latest already, download and install it again

HI
I had already completely uninstalled ITunes and reinstalled this latest version of QTime and did it again, but it did not resolve the problem. Thanks for the advice. Any other suggestions ?
