- What country?
- What model number?
- What source (analog, digital ota, cable box)?
On my Sony TV I can change way it zooms via the remote. Did you check your user manual about changing the zoom via the remote?

Answer
Aspect Ratio

I would recommend making sure your picture size is 16:9 ratio. Some of our television have a "P.Size button" that this can be done to check the aspect ratio setting. If this is complete and you are on the setting 16:9 and you still are experiencing the zooming, we would recommend contacting the external device's manufacter (i.e. cable box ; cable provider) . When contacting them ask them how to change the Aspect Ratio settings on the device itself.
