Question

First start has failed on self build new system ?

Jul 11, 2013 4:39AM PDT

I am building this system by myself.
After all connections checked, I have made my first start but Comp. tries to boot 5 sec. then it is closes and try again 5 sec. again, again so on.

Nothing comes to screen during this try outs. Just Chase fans running, cpu fun starts, cpu led on the board is red, memory led blinking twice then system tries boot again. NO beep.

For this first start no video card or other pci card added.
Monitor connect to mother board via VGI. SSD connect to SATA3G -4, DVD writer connect to SATA3G-6.I have connected 2X 4-pin power cable to 8pin EATX12V.

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 MB
Intel I5 3570K CPU
Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB - PC3-12800 - DIMM
Corsair GTX SSD drive
Cooler Master GX 750W Bronze PSU
Cooler Master Elite 430 CASE
Win7 Home edition 64bit.

Thanks for help.

Clarification Request
Did you try it with less parts?
Jul 11, 2013 4:42AM PDT

For example, no case, no hard disks, no optical drives, just the basic parts on a piece of cardboard?

If those don't work, you are looking at the bad part, parts or misconfigured parts.

only without dvd writer

I have only tried without DVD and it was same.
But I have not tried without SSD.

I will try that.
hope it is help.

How about this 12vEATX (8pin)connection? I have connected 2X 4 pin instead of 6+2pin.
You think that would be wrong?

Sorry.

But I follow the maker's instructions. If they called out an 8 pin connection and you did something else I'm going to write it's wrong.
