First second of video distorted .MTS in VLC

Sep 2, 2013 2:57AM PDT

I'm shooting with a Sony cx550v in HD FX, and when I view the .MTS file in VLC on my mac the first one second makes it look like the camera still "remembers" the last video shot and overlays the old video with the new. After the first second the camcorder records as normal. I noticed that when I convert the .MTS file to a .MP4 file I don't get any of the distortion and the first 1 second of the video is clean. Any idea why this is happening and can I do anything to fix it? Thanks in advance Happy

Is it a VLC issue or a bug in the camera?

It's unclear what's up here. If it's a VLC issue, did you report this?
